Winstanley College’s Christmas production of Joseph has been given a sprinkling of extra colour this year, thanks to some little helpers from Maharishi and Halgate Primary School.
Children from the school sung as part of the chorus in the sold-out show which ran from 14th – 16th December. It was a fantastic chance for them to see how a major production is put together and college students enjoyed mentoring and coaching the children throughout rehearsals.
Taking the lead as Joseph was 16-year-old Joe Hayward from Golborne who, along with the rest of the cast, received rapturous applause and rave reviews.
Lisa Baty, Performing Arts tutor, who has co-ordinated and directed the show said: ‘it’s been extra special having the primary children involved this year. All of the cast and crew have dedicated their free time to rehearsals to ensure we put on a fabulous show: I couldn’t’ be prouder!’
