Last month, students from Winstanley College headed to Augsburg in Germany to take part in the 2017 Model United Nations Conference.
It was the third year running that Winstanley has taken part in the international event which involves representing a country in teams and debating a range of topical issues including poverty, climate change and even world peace.
Delegates had to present themselves in different roles including General Assembly and The World Health Organisation. They also drafted resolutions to the problems discussed, and many of these were successfully passed, resulting in a real sense of achievement.
To top off what was already a fantastic trip, students had the chance to spend a day sightseeing in Munich.
