Welcome to a very special festive edition of #ThrowbackThursday!
This week, we feature our former student Joshua Harriette who studied Dance, Theatre Studies and Business Studies at Winstanley College between 2009 and 2011 before going on to train at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and the Elizabeth Hill School of Dance and Drama. He is now a professional ballet dancer and lighting designer.
Joshua has performed with Michael Clark Company, including their productions of ‘Come, Been and Gone’ and ‘Animal Vegetable Mineral’ across America, Brazil and Europe. He also danced for fashion labels Pringle of Scotland and Alexander McQueen at the V&A alongside Kate Moss and even performed on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury! In addition, Joshua joined Sir Matthew Bourne at New Adventures for the creation and tour of the Olivier Award winning show ‘The Red Shoes’.
Throughout his career, he has also danced with Richard Alston Dance Company, Ballet Black, English National Ballet, Ballet Boyz and was part of Phoenix Dance Theatre Choreographers and Composers Lab. Alongside his company work, Joshua has modelled for ASOS, Gucci and Puma.
In June 2018, Joshua kindly took time out of his busy schedule to deliver a very special workshop to our Dance students.
Congratulations on all your success Joshua…You are Winstanley!
