Chemistry Olympiad
A big well done to the 12 Upper Sixth students who recently competed in the Royal Society of Chemisty’s Olympiad.
The UK Chemistry Olympiad is the leading chemistry competition for students in secondary education across the British Isles. This enriching experience is a unique opportunity for students to push themselves further and excel in the chemistry field. Through taking part, budding chemists develop critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively, and get a chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations.
Ian Davies, Head of Chemistry, commented: ‘This is a very high profile competition which our top chemists compete in every year. I’d like to thank the staff involved in organising participation and the students for all the preparation and hard work they have put into it. We look forward to seeing how our students have compared nationally and if any of them have made it through to the next round!’
