Daley attended Winstanley from 2005 – 2007, completing A-levels in Music, Music Technology, French, German, General Studies. He then went on to study for a BA (Hons) in French Studies at the University of London Institute in Paris and then an MSc in Language Sciences (Linguistics with Neuroscience) at University College London.
Following his studies, entrepreneur Daley gained experience working in a wine shop in Paris for before starting his own retail company. He currently has one shop in Paris’s 14th arrondissement and may well have a second one within the near future.
His advice to students wishing to pursue languages is: ‘It is very, very easy to live in France – Paris, particularly – without getting a decent level of French. I would recommend taking a gap year after A-levels; move to a tiny village in rural France, learn French and study in the French system.’
