Shevington student day

Potential new students are always anxious to find out about what life might be like at college. So, we invited pupils from Shevington High School to a Question Time at Winstanley. The panel, chaired by George Hollowell, answered a variety of questions ranging from how to get in to the college to how much free time is on offer!

An important feature of college life is to be an independent learner. So pupils participated in a range of activities including constructing a bridge to learning about origami. An important part of this is to do research and Winstanley was pleased to make Shevington pupils Associate Students which allows them access to the college Intranet with all available resources.

George Hollowell commented:” Shevington students were a credit to their school and thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
