Ofsted Inspection 2007

Winstanley College staff and students are celebrating the publication this week of another outstanding OFSTED report.  The inspection, which took place in October, concludes that ‘Winstanley College is outstanding in all aspects of its provision’ reserving particular praise for the college’s ‘exceptional personal and pastoral support’.

OFSTED also describes the college’s enrichment programme as ‘extensive, interesting and impressive and praises the college for providing a ‘caring, safe, supportive yet challenging learning environment.’

A delighted Principal, Steve Wood said ‘I’m very pleased the inspection report recognises that Winstanley students make excellent progress and achieve outstanding academic results.  The OFSTED comment that ‘Teamwork is excellent with teachers, support workers and students working together to provide a learning experience that encourages personal, professional and academic development’ is particularly pleasing.  It is the public recognition that our hard working and talented staff and students deserve.’
