Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science

Our Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science programme is an outstanding feature of the College. There are now more than 200 ex-Winstanley students studying an MDV course somewhere in the UK this year alone. We are proud of all our students who apply for these prestigious career paths. MDV co-ordinator Dave Woods said; “A huge well done to all the student receiving offers. To get to this point students have worked extremely hard and preparation starts whilst students are still at high school, so credit must also go to their schools who supported them from the beginning.”

College Principal, Louise Tipping, added; “Over the past few months the whole world has been in awe of healthcare workers and here in the UK we’ve seen out NHS staff show amazing courage and skills despite being stretched to their limits. As a college, we already have hundreds of former students currently working on the frontline and to have a record number ready to start their studies fills us with pride. Thank you also to our colleagues at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh infirmaries, Wigan and West Lancashire Care Commission Groups, along with Liverpool, Newcastle and Bristol Universities who support our students in their preparation every year.”
