Safeguarding & e-Safety

Every Student Matters

At Winstanley College every student really does matter, and parents and carers should be aware that the College will take any reasonable action to ensure the safety and well being of its students. If you are worried about a student you can contact the Support Team (Personal Tutors, Senior Tutors and Assistant Principal) at the College.

We recognise the damage that can be caused by bullying, in all its forms and have a zero tolerance policy towards any behaviour that causes anxiety or distress to others. We regard each person as worthy of the utmost respect.

Child Protection and the Curriculum

Winstanley College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people within the ethos and context of it’s mission. We fully recognise the contribution the College can make to protect and support students. We recognise that high self-esteem, confidence, peer support and clear lines of communication with trusted adults helps all students, and especially those at risk of suffering abuse.
