Entry Requirements
The demand for places at Winstanley College is extremely high. As a college, we must always ensure that we have a fair process for allocating those places. The College expects that the demand for places in September will exceed capacity and therefore we review our entry policy annually to ensure that we can guarantee every student who meets the entry requirements a place with us at Winstanley.
Winstanley College is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming community where all students are enabled to meet their full potential and are respected as individuals. Admission is open to all qualified applicants.

Applications Deadline
Normally only applications received in College by Tuesday 31st January 2023 can be considered
Enrolment
Enrolment day is Thursday 24th August 2023. We will send you an enrolment appointment via email and letter in the summer term.
Enrolment takes about an hour as we want to make sure we get everything right for you. As part of the process you will have an in-depth discussion around your subject choices.
Please bring your GCSE results with you to enrolment.
On Holiday on Enrolment Day
Please try to avoid being away on our enrolment day which is Thursday 24th August 2023. It is important that you get the full enrolment experience, and advice and guidance on your subject choices.
If it is unavoidable, you must contact the admissions department in advance to make alternative arrangements admissions@winstanley.ac.uk or 01695 628610. To guarantee your place you will also need to arrange to get your GCSE results to us by 5pm on enrolment day.

Appeals
Requests for special consideration should normally be accompanied by support from the applicant’s school and be made in writing to the Deputy Principal, Debbie Owen via:
admissionsappeals@winstanley.ac.uk Appeals for special consideration will be heard by the Appeals Panel if received before GCSE results are published. Only in exceptional circumstances is the College able to hear appeals made after GCSE results have been published. Please note that normally, the College will give preference for its limited places to Year 11 school leavers.
