Private Bus Permits Cost for Academic year 21 - 22
The cost of a private bus permit is a yearly academic fee, therefore it is not calculated on the number of days or months a student attends College.
Download the private bus permit application process
The cost of the annual bus permits for 2021-2022 is £480.00. This can either be paid in full or via the following installments, both available on Parentpay:
Once the first monthly payment is received, the College will make the student's private bus permit and e-mail the student's college e-mail when it is ready for collection. Students must show this to the driver at all times. We do have a few weeks at the beginning of term whilst students get familiar with buses that we call ‘the settling down’ period when students may forget their permit, however, spot inspections will take place after one week of term starting and students must show their bus permit at all times to the driver.
If you are applying for a bursary, the Finance team will notify transport if your application was successful so we can make the bus permit for you. Please make sure you provide any bursary evidence as soon as possible.
*Please note the cost of private transport is reviewed in March after the close of application and tender for contracts. Whilst the College will subsidise transport to make it as affordable as possible the cost for 2022-23 may increase.
If you have any questions regarding public or private buses during the application process please contact email@example.com
Students have to register and apply for the private bus permits and this was included as part of the online enrolment forms is emailed to students during the summer.
Please contact the admissions team on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have not received this by the end of July.

There is limited parking on the college site so we cannot guarantee all students a safe place to leave their cars during the day. For this reason, first year students are not permitted to park on the College site. We are currently only able to issue parking permits to second year students at a cost of £10. Parents are asked to avoid picking students up and dropping them off at peak times and not to wait in the drop-off area. We also ask that students don’t park their car along Winstanley Road as this may be of detriment to local residents.
