Private transport reservation

We are pleased to share important information regarding transport arrangements for students at Winstanley College in September 2025.

We understand that travel costs can be a real concern for families, so we do everything we can to keep the price of our private coach service as low as possible. At the same time, we aim to provide a dependable and convenient way for students to get to and from College each day. Our private coach service is designed to make things easier for families and to help ensure getting to and from College isn’t something you have to worry about.

Current students

If your child intends to travel to College on one of our private coach services, a seat must be reserved by completing the Transport Reservation Form here:

Transport Reservation Form - Current Lower Sixth students

The form must be completed by a parent/carer and will remain open until Sunday, 15 June 2025, but we strongly encourage you to complete it as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

New applicants

If you child intends to travel to College on one of our private coach services from September, please complete the applicants Transport Reservation Form here:

Applicants Transport Reservation Form

Please complete the form even if your child isn’t sure they will be joining us in September, we will match the completed form with enrolment data after Sunday, 24 August 2025 to allocate seats.

Information for current students and applicants

Before completing the form, please ensure you have read the Winstanley College Transport Guide with your child available here:

Transport - Winstanley CollegeThis guide outlines all available routes and will help you make an informed decision about which service is most suitable.

Please remember that once a pass has been issued, it’s very difficult to change routes because spaces are limited. That’s why it’s really important to choose the correct route when you fill in the form. You can reserve one seat on one coach in the first instance.

If you think your child may need to use two different private coach routes (a dual pass), you can still go ahead and complete the form, then send an email to Transport@winstanley.ac.uk to make an additional request. While we can’t guarantee a dual pass, we’ll review requests individually after the first few weeks of term, once we know what space is still available.

Bursary Applicants

If you are planning to apply for a bursary to cover transport costs, please indicate this within the form. Students applying for a bursary will not be disadvantaged when it comes to securing a seat. Once you’ve indicated that you are applying for a bursary, your child will be issued with a pass that will allow them to travel on their chosen coach, they will be able to collect this on their Induction Day.

Applicants should apply for a bursary to cover the cost of transport after enrolment. Applicants must still complete the form to reserve a seat on the private coach service prior to enrolment. Temporary passes will be issued to cover the cost of transport whilst awaiting the outcome of a bursary application.

For any specific bursary questions, please check our financial support pages on our website, or email Bursary@Winstanley.ac.uk .

Further details regarding payment terms and your commitment for the academic year can be found within the transport reservation form.

If you have any questions after reading the guide and completing the form, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help ensure your child’s journey to and from College is safe, reliable, and well-organised.
