Youth Climate Summit

Youth Climate Summit

Members of the College's Eco Committee attended the Youth Climate Summit at The Edge in Wigan, where they joined students from across the region to explore some of the biggest environmental challenges facing society today.

The summit gave students the opportunity to hear from sustainability experts, discover the latest developments in green technology and learn more about the growing range of careers within the environmental sector. Through a series of interactive sessions and discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of how individuals, businesses and communities can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Carina Riley, Teacher of Geography, said: "The Youth Climate Summit was an inspiring event that encouraged students to think critically about the environmental issues affecting our world. It was fantastic to see members of our Eco Committee engaging with experts, sharing ideas and learning about the exciting opportunities available within the green economy. They returned with plenty of inspiration and new ideas that they can bring back to the College community."
