Winstanley College Women’s Football Team Secures Sixth Consecutive Victory

Winstanley College’s women’s football team continued their outstanding season with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Sir John Deane’s College. Despite challenging conditions, the squad showed remarkable resilience and discipline throughout the match.

Star striker Eleanor Greenhouse delivered both goals for Winstanley, with her second—a stunning 35-yard strike—coming immediately after the opposition’s equaliser, sealing the victory in dramatic fashion.

This latest triumph marks six wins out of six for the team, underlining their dominance this season.

Women’s coach and PE teacher Stephen Brockley praised the team’s performance, saying:
