Festive Spirit Shines at Winstanley College

Winstanley College has embraced the magic of the season with a series of vibrant events and performances that brought students and staff together in true festive style.

Performing Arts students wowed audiences with an ambitious musical theatre showcase featuring iconic numbers from We Will Rock You, Little Shop of Horrors, The Addams Family, and Legally Blonde. This collaborative project united learners from Drama, Music Performance, Music Technology, and Dance, offering a professional-style experience that developed teamwork, leadership, and technical expertise—skills essential for future careers in the performing arts.

The celebrations continued with ‘Step Into Christmas’, an evening of seasonal music organised entirely by Music Performance students, who took charge of marketing, budgeting, and stage technology to gain hands-on experience in event management. Adding to the festive cheer, students also performed at the Winstanley Student Union’s ‘Winter Wonderland’, providing live music in intimate and outdoor settings while helping raise funds for charitable causes.

Winter Wonderland transformed the campus into a festive haven, with stalls selling handmade crafts and seasonal treats, a lively Christmas quiz, and plenty of photo opportunities against sparkling backdrops.

These activities highlight the College’s commitment to offering real-world, industry-focused opportunities while celebrating the joy of the season.
